After experiencing snow storm Niko first hand during NYFW, I am so ready for winter to be over! Luckily, spring collections are starting to emerge and are inspiring me to freshen up my wardrobe in preparation for next season. One of the first things on my list to buy is an open toe mule. As you might have noticed, mules have been huge this year and next season’s sandals are no exception. So why do you need a mule sandal now?
3 Reasons You Need a Mule Sandal Now
Mule sandals will always look chic, there’s no getting around that. Although they seem to be a more recent trend, mules have a classic silhouette that has been around for centuries. You can never go wrong investing in classic pieces!
They are effortlessly chic. A mule sandal can be worn with any look, from your favorite pair of distressed denim and a white t-shirt to a wide leg palazzo pant and silk cami, adding the perfect amount of sophistication.
Mule sandals are extremely functional, yet stunningly fashionable. Because they are so easy to wear, you can take them from day to night without having to switch up your shoes, plus they are super comfortable.
On my search for the perfect mule sandal, I started with 2017 Resort collection, I didn’t know where to begin because I wanted everything! If you haven’t taken the time to shop the latest collection, stop what you’re doing to take a peek at their beautiful shoes. I came across the Rhoda Crisscross Mule and I immediately knew I had to style them for you guys. The classic block heel caught my eye because it’s just perfect for all-day wear. The crisscross upper is super flattering and a perfect way to subtly elongate my legs without sacrificing comfort. When I shop for shoes I normally go directly to black, but this style comes in 8 different colors so I decided to go out on a limb and choose a pair in a gorgeous shade of wine. The beautiful, soft suede is going to add the perfect subtle texture to all of the looks I’ve been inspired to put together with them.
