Hi everyone! Today I’m bringing a super fun and bright outfit. I really wanted to wear this skirt on Saturday for a dinner date, but I didn’t want to look too formal. I originally thought of wearing the obvious, a black or white top, to let the skirt shine by itself, but the outfit was not working out; it looked like I was going to a cocktail party. Then, I saw my Banana Republic striped top, which I’ve been wearing a lot since I got it, I tried it on with the skirt and I immediately loved the outcome. The unexpected combination of the gray stripes with the neon embellishment, in my opinion, works perfectly. Also, the faux-leather trim detail from the top sort of puts everything together. I have to admit that mixing prints can be tricky and difficult at times, but that’s part of the fun! I’ve said it many times on my blog; fashion is all about having fun and taking risks. Sometimes contrasting patterns and fabrics can make for a great looking outfit.

What did you think of this outfit? Do you like mixing prints?

Thank you for reading and have a great day!
