Paris Travel Guide in the Winter

I’m just getting settled back in LA after a quick Paris trip with Armani Beauty, but so many of you asked about my favorite places to eat and where you should take pictures that I wanted to whip up a quick Paris travel guide in the winter time. I’ve been to Paris several times now and it always looks different when you go during the different seasons. This time, it was cold and rainy most of the trip but that didn’t make it any less magical. If you’re planning a Paris trip in the winter, here are all my favorite places to eat, shop, and take Instagram-friendly photos. I’m always on the lookout for recommendations too, so if I missed anything, please share in the comments section.

Where To Eat

Hotel Costes has a wonderful restaurant for yummy breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Everything about this place is spot-on from the food to the atmosphere. For other lunch options, you must stop by Cafe de Flore in the Saint Germain neighborhood. It’s a classic stop that’s youthful in energy and just great for people watching and grabbing a quick bite. L’Avenue is another great option for a very “French” experience. It’s very posh with a great menu. If you need a quick pick me up, Cafe Kitsune at Royal Palace is a great pitstop for some delicious matcha latte.

This trip was also my first time having dinner at LouLou with Armani Beauty and it’s become my new favorite restaurant. It’s artfully decorated with a gorgeous view of the Louvre. You have to see it in real life to get the full experience. I also had dinner at Palais de Tokyo at Les Grands Verres which serves amazing French-Asian fusion food. Be sure to check it out too!  Last but not least, hit up Pierre Herme for the best macarons; they’re seriously the BEST!

Where To Shop

If you happen to stop by Cafe de Flore, then you’re in the heart of Saint Germain which is the right spot for leisure shopping. It’s filled with several ready-to-wear and designer boutiques. I also enjoyed it for walking around Saint Honoré and Place Vendome. These areas are filled with many luxury brands and shops, such as Chanel, Louis Vuitton, and Cartier. Make sure you also stop by Avenue Montaigne to see the ornamental windows and luxury boutiques. You’ll also be able to get plenty of great shots around here. Also, The Marais is another cool and hip area to shop.

Where To Take Photos

Printemps Rooftop Terrace might just be one of Paris’ best-kept secrets! Felicia found this spot.  You’ll get a stunning view of the city and many of its iconic landmarks like the Montmartre and the Eiffel Tower.

To get those Instagram-friendly shots with the Eiffel Tower you see on many bloggers’ profiles, visit Trocadero. While you’re there, you should also check out the Eiffel Tower Carousel. It always makes for fun photographs. Another cool post to get an amazing view of the Eiffel Tower is located at 6 Avenue de Camoens. This is the exact post where I shot this photo.

Les Deux Plateaux is another one of those spots that make popular photos with the black and white striped columns. It never gets old. While you’re there stop by the Louvre!

Paris, in general, is one-of-a-kind photogenic city, so you can’t really get any bad photos. Make good use of the streets and the cafes and you’ll be Instagram-set!

What to Wear

The weather during January is pretty chill, but in all honesty, it felt great. If you wear any of the outfits below you will be comfortable and warm enough!
