Can you guys believe it’s already the end of September?! With fashion week and moving apartments, this month flew by. I almost forgot to write about my denim series and how to style jeans this month!
Shop My Look
This month, I’m all about transitioning into fall with ease. Whenever life is hectic, like this month, I love having outfits that simply work. For me, that’s high-waisted jeans, and bodysuit, and a jacket. Nordstrom has some of my favorite pieces right now. From denim to jackets and cute shoes, I always find everything I need there!
I’m a denim girl, and for a while now, high-waisted have been my favorite. If you’re not already wearing the trend, or if you need a few pointers, here’s what I keep in mind when styling them in fall.
Pair with a Bodysuit
I feel like I use this tip often, but it’s so true! A bodysuit paired with high-waisted jeans not only shows off your waist, but it elongates your legs. This is especially important for me since I’m short. Plus, you don’t have to deal with tucking anything in or bulk.
Give Some Wiggle Room
If your high-waisted jeans are too tight, they can look unflattering around your midsection – something I learned the hard way. But you also want to feel sucked in and supported, so you have to find that happy medium. I look for pairs that have a little wiggle room so that I can actually breathe. This pair from Nordstrom is seriously perfect! Here are some others I like, too.
Top it Off With Moto
Moto jackets are everywhere this fall, and they look amazing paired with high-waisted jeans. They elevate the laid-back California style of denim into something current and edgy. Drape it over your shoulders for an effortless look.
Add Fun Shoes
I personally like cropped high-waisted jeans the best, especially when paired with a fun heel in fall. Velvet and suede are trending, and look amazing with denim. I like the pop of color and height they provide.
Are you a fan of high-waisted jeans for fall?
Special thanks to Nordstrom for sponsoring this post! All of the opinions are my own.
