I just got back from an amazing trip with Armani in the Hamptons so I’m in complete beach mode right now. Many of you guys liked this bikini pic I posted on Insta, which inspired me to create a swimwear trends of 2018 post. You’re in luck because we still have plenty of sunny days to go. Summer doesn’t actually end until late September…and with Labor Day coming up, you don’t want to be short of bikini options.
Like many things in fashion this year, swimsuits got an update in a variety of ways. You can add so many more trends to my list below, but I wanted to focus on my five favorites. I picked out the best ones that were less than $200 because I know many of you don’t want to break the bank on a bikini – totally understand!

1. Minimal Bikinis
The minimal bikini trend is my favorite because it’s chic with the right accessories and super easy to wear. What categorizes a bikini in this category are the lines and straps. I love a solid black or white set with thin straps and a simple, high-waisted bottom.
2. Sporty One-Pieces
I have divulged my obsession with one-pieces before, but I noticed that they got an update with sportier details. Make note of any belts, zippers, paneling, and slogans. What do you guys think?
3. Retro Prints and Sets
High-waisted bikini bottoms aren’t going away, and I love how the retro prints are being incorporated into this style. From gingham to polka dots and plaid, they’re cheeky but chic.
4. One Shoulder Styles
One shoulder swimwear is a newer style that sprung in 2018. Brands are either going sporty and minimal or feminine and flirty. I can literally go with all of the above.
5. Knot Details
If there’s one detail I see across all clothing and accessory categories in fashion brands, it’s bow ties and knots. In swim, this simple detail creates a cute accent across the chest area.
