If you follow me on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter, then you probably already now that I got featured in The New York Times last Tuesday to talk a little bit about the fashion in Panama, and one of my favorite neighborhoods in the city, el Casco Viejo.

They took some beautiful pictures and I wanted to show you some of them here. Also, I’ve linked the video in case you didn’t get a chance to see it yet.

The whole experience has been and continues to be extremely overwhelming, but of course, in a very positive way. I don’t think I’ll forget what I felt when I saw my face on the front page of The New York Times. It was surreal and I’m so humbled by the whole experience. It really fills my heart with so much joy because I was able to show a small of part of my country to the entire world.

As I said in the video, Panama has a very fun, tropical culture with an urban influence and that’s really what I try to show here on my blog. I live in the city of Boston, so I love that urban feel, but I always try to add a little bit of color, whether it is in my clothes or in the background, to reflect my Panamanian heritage.

I hope you enjoyed the video as much as I did. Thanks to the New York Times team, Oresti, Alex and Joanna, for this opportunity.

[vc_separator type=”transparent” position=”left” color=”” border_style=”dashed” width=”” thickness=”” up=”” down=””]

[vc_separator type=”transparent” position=”left” color=”” border_style=”dashed” width=”” thickness=”” up=”” down=””]
