One of the pieces that every woman should have in their closet is a little black dress. It’s a staple piece that can be dressed up or down depending on the occasion. Here I’m wearing it with some sexy strappy heels to sort of kill the sweet vibe of the dress -That’s the Latin influence that I’m referring to in my about page :). Don’t get me wrong, I love a delicate dress, but I often find myself pairing a delicate dress with an edgier piece just to make it a little bit more fun.
Here are a few tips on how to find the perfect LBD:
- Find the right fit: Having a LBD that flatters your body shape is a must! The reason why this is such an important piece to have is because it should be a worry-free-head-out-of-the-door-fast kind of item. It took me several years to understand my body type, so my recommendation for you is to try on several dresses, even the ones that you think might not fit. You may be surprised!
- Style: You want to make sure you get a black dress that can be worn during the day and night. It’s all about multitasking! For example, this dress can easily be turned into a day dress by pairing it with a jean jacket and some flats or summery sandals.
- Invest $$ but not too much: This is a piece that you are going to be wearing a lot, so invest a little but don’t go crazy. Black fabric can easily fade and look worn down. I use this soap to keep my black fabric from fading.
