As I mentioned in previous posts, Fall has definitely arrived in Boston. I knew this was going to be a short Summer, therefore, I’ve been mentally preparing myself for the next months, which I know are going to be cold. In the meantime, I’m actually loving the current weather. Today I wanted to share some of my Fall wardrobe staples; those items that never go out of style and that you should already have in your closet! Or at least some of them.
[vc_separator type=”transparent” position=”left” color=”” border_style=”dashed” width=”” thickness=”” up=”” down=””]Chunky Sweaters: Start with the basics: white, black, grey and a blush one. Another must-have is a striped sweater for when you’re tired of wearing neutrals.
[vc_separator type=”transparent” position=”left” color=”” border_style=”dashed” width=”” thickness=”” up=”” down=””]Faux-leather jacket: I got this jacket (similar) last season and I’ve already worn it so many times (check my Instagram for outfit ideas). It goes with everything so if you can only get one item from my list, get yourself a nice faux-leather jacket!
[vc_separator type=”transparent” position=”left” color=”” border_style=”dashed” width=”” thickness=”” up=”” down=””]Plaid Scarf: Or any plaid piece…it’s one of those fabrics that screams fall. Be careful to not go overboard with it. One plaid item is always enough.
[vc_separator type=”transparent” position=”left” color=”” border_style=”dashed” width=”” thickness=”” up=”” down=””]Low-heel booties: Invest in 1 pair of low heeled booties that are going to get you through Fall and Winter. Buy them a little bit bigger if you can so you can wear thick socks and keep warm during the winter.
[vc_separator type=”transparent” position=”left” color=”” border_style=”dashed” width=”” thickness=”” up=”” down=””]Hats: Same with the sweaters. Buy them in all the neutral colors. I usually buy my hats at Forever 21. They are super inexpesive and look great (however, they don’t always last that long, which is to be expected) I think this Fall I’m going to invest in a nice black hat like this one.
[vc_separator type=”transparent” position=”left” color=”” border_style=”dashed” width=”” thickness=”” up=”” down=””]Fringe and Suede: Two trends that are huge this season and there are a lot of options out there to choose from. I have this faux suede skirt and I’m lusting over this jacket.
[vc_separator type=”transparent” position=”left” color=”” border_style=”dashed” width=”” thickness=”” up=”” down=””]A cross-body bag: This season I invested in this neutral bag because I wanted one that was a little bit trendy but also practical. It’s one of those bags that can look informal and formal at the same time. If you are going to invest in a bag this season, make sure it’s a neutral one that can be carried day and night.
