While I was in Miami last week, I obviously had to spend time at the beach. The beaches there are so pretty and fun and have always reminded me of home in Panama. Another thing I love about Miami is the food scene and the energy in general. There’s such a positive, lively buzz in that city at every hour of the day. It’s so unique!
After the beach one day, I was meeting friends for dinner and didn’t have time to style a whole new outfit. Instead, I kept my sundress on that I had worn to the beach and dressed it up a bit. I was going for a beach-to-dinner look since the restaurant was pretty casual but I didn’t want to look like messy.
A flowy, but structured dress like this – that cinches at waist, but it still lets you breathe! – is probably my favorite silhouette. The slit is also a great way for short girls (like me!) to elongate our legs, especially when wearing longer dresses. Plus, the print is beautiful.

I swapped out my flat beach sandals and replaced them with a sexier tied-up version with a blocked heel. Still comfortable for walking around Miami, but more appropriate for my dinner-time look. I grabbed this straw bag that I’m in love with and threw on some fun dangle earrings. This bag will be huge this year. Then, I fixed up my hair and makeup quickly and I was out the door.
I can’t wait to wear this dress all summer long, from beach days to parties to night’s out. It’s so versatile and was perfect for my beach-to-dinner look!
