As I’m getting older and more conscious of what I’m buying, I’m starting to streamline my closet more and more. Instead of buying trendy, cheap pieces and then getting rid of them a season later, I’m all about finding classic pieces that I can mix and match with lots of options. From a nice pair of jeans to the ultimate piece of everyday jewelry, here are 5 wardrobe staples I can’t live without – and think every woman should have.

SATIN ROBE
A robe might not come to mind when you think of classic closet staples, but I’m here to convince you otherwise. From spring to early fall, it’s my choice for throwing over an outfit when I want to add an extra element in a hurry. From layered over dresses to t-shirts, to body suits, it’s the perfect third piece to an outfit. Make it satin and the outfit instantly becomes glam and luxurious.
HIGH-WAIST JEANS
Of course! The high-waist denim trend isn’t going anywhere anytime soon, so it’s time to get yourself a pair or two. Not only are they flattering as they suck everything in and are comfy, but they are a wardrobe essential. You can dress them up and make them look sexy, like I did here, or wear them with a simple tank top and sandals for a casual look. I’m especially into the cropped hem at the moment too – you can’t go wrong with this cut!
PANTHERE DE CARTIER
If I were to pick one piece of jewelry to keep, it’d be a watch – a classic Cartier watch to be exact. It’s simply a timeless, beautiful piece that can go with everything. I love my Panthere de Cartier, it’s so elegant and it makes your whole look feel pulled together and chic, and I rarely leave home without it. It’s an investment, as most jewelry is, but it’s not one you’ll regret.
BLACK PUMPS
I’ve been wearing black pumps for over a decade and am pretty sure most women are the same. A closed-toe pair of black pumps are classic, sexy, and versatile. They can be worn with workpieces, to a wedding, or with jeans, like I showed with this outfit. Make sure to get a pair that you can walk in and feel confident in – and a pointy toe is a forever classic.
NUDE BODYSUIT
Another piece you might not think about, but this is something I get so much wear out of. Nude makes it easy to match with just about anything, and in any season, and I love having simple detail like lace. It’s nice to tuck in, especially with the high-waist look and can go under jeans or a skirt. Plus, bodysuits are super flattering! This is one of my favorite wardrobe staples for sure.
