Hi guys! I made it back from New York Fashion Week a couple days ago and I’m completely exhausted. It’s such a fun yet draining week in one of my favorite cities. I was lucky enough to stay at two amazing hotels, and I wanted to share those today in case you have an NYC vacation coming up.
I’ve stayed in a lot of hotels in the city, and this time we chose to stay in two different James Hotels – a small line of luxury boutique hotels. It was fun splitting the trip up between the two because it felt like two separate experiences. I’d heard great things about this line of hotels, and we were blown away. I’ll definitely be back! If you’re visiting the Big Apple soon, I definitely recommend the following options.
The James Hotel – SoHo
As you can see from this Instagram, the views here are incredible – as is the roof and rooftop pool. This is a fun location since it’s downtown, hip, and surrounded by NYC skyline. The rooms are amazing because most of the walls are glass – so you can fall asleep and rise to the city views (like this!). It was the perfect place to stay with girlfriends since the rooms, bathrooms, and closets were spacious. Especially compared to most NYC hotels!
Their on-site restaurant is delicious and an easy option when you don’t want to leave the hotel. The room service is to die for, too – we had a lot, haha! On top of that, this location is footsteps from endless restaurants, bars, shopping, art studios, etc. It’s also right next to Spring Studios, where I had a bunch of shows, so it’s great for New York Fashion Week attendees. Don’t forget to visit their urban garden, a piece of heaven in the city.
The James Hotel – Nomad
The location is great because it’s just north of Madison Square Park. It’s very central to all of Manhattan. This hotel is super chic – we even did some photo shoots in the room since the decor is modern and beautiful. It’s trendy in the best way and a cool place to stay.
The fact that it’s built in a classic New York building makes it charming and full of history. But it’s been recently renovated – everything feels clean and bright. I’d definitely recommend this location if you’re hoping to explore all of Manhattan and want a more classic vibe. It’s convenient to bridges, subways, cabs, food, drinks, etc. Plus, they have complimentary wine and cheese in the lobby every single night!
So there you have it – 2 of the best New York City hotels that I’ve been to! Have you stayed at either before? Let me know if you have any questions or need more NYC recommendations.
