With more than two months left of winter, don’t allow yourself to get too tired of coats and heavy boots just yet. The cold weather outside doesn’t mean you can’t have fun getting dressed and look stylish in the process. If you’re in need of a winter wardrobe refresh, you can check out this post here. But today’s post is all about how to look chic in the winter. I’ll be sharing three easy tips I always use to look polished from head to toe.

Cinch the waist
There is nothing more chic and feminine than slimming your silhouette with a belt. I’ve learned that it’s the best accessory to jazz up a look and create form. It also creates the illusion of a smaller waist. Without the belt, this cable knit sweater dress would have looked loose and slouchy.
Glide on a pair of over the knee boots
I’m beyond obsessed with over the knee boots as you can see. I’ve written about the topic so many times in the last year (see here). I’m convinced that it’s a classic staple that makes everything look more upbeat. As a bonus, they double up as leggings when you don’t feel like wearing leggings.
Go for the chain bag
Whenever I need a small accessory to dress things up, I always go for the chain-strap purse. Fashion is all about details and the chain strap will add a pop of metallic shine to your outfit.
If you want to add something playful, top your look off with a newsboy cap and you’ll still look chic in the winter. I feel like it emanates a slight Parisian vibe that’s playful yet tailored. What do you think?
