If you have been following my blog, you can tell that I am a repeat denim wearer. I love denim because it’s so comfortable to wear when I know I’ll be running out all day. The funny thing about this is that I also believe in looking chic daily so you might be wondering how I make the two work. It’s no secret but does take some practice to fine tune. Since I pretty much live in my Levi’s, I thought this would be a great time to show you guys how to take your jeans from casual to chic.

Wear a formal and fitted jacket
My first rule is to always throw on a fitted jacket. My favorite this spring has been the tweed piece, but I also love blazers and tuxedo jackets. You can find countless blazers in my closet because it’s an infallible style that makes any outfit a little dressier.

Add pointed toe heels
A great pair of heels is a surefire way to transform a pair of jeans into a chic wardrobe staple. I think pointed toe pumps are mules are the best choice. For this outfit, I went with low heel mules because I needed something that would be comfy for all day wear. Nude or black heels are the colors I always reach for.

Carry a chain-strap bag
I credit Chanel for popularizing the chain-strap bag, which might be why it’s such an elegant bag to carry. The metallic strap visually takes up less real estate and ends up looking more delicate – traits that are perfect for chic outfits!

Incorporate blingy jewelry
Throwing on something sparkly always glams up jeans. That could be a sequin top or glittery clutch. But in my case, jewelry always makes the best finishing touch. Rings, bracelets, and a classy watch are my jam.

Tuck your top in
If you look back at my old denim posts, you might notice my tucking tendencies. This is a no-brainer styling tip that makes your jeans look more chic all the time. When I’m wearing a button down blouse, a plain t-shirt, or light knit, I always aim to tuck!
