I always love hearing about other people’s lives. Whether it’s someone’s nightly routine or how they spend their day, it’s interesting to me to see how people spend their days. Since I love learning about how other people’s routine, I wanted to share mine in case you thought that was interesting too! So here’s what a typical weekday looks like for me when I’m home in Los Angeles…
First up, let’s talk about clothes. What I’m wearing on a normal day needs to be comfortable but also cute enough for meetings or showroom visits. Since so much of my job revolves around fashion and wearing clothes, presenting myself well is important! This is my ideal outfit for a “work day.”
Shop the Look
Jeans // Blouse // Earrings // Sunglasses // Shoes
I’m a denim girl, and a pair like these Express ones that are form-fitting, on-trend, but still comfortable is my go-to. I appreciate a good classic blouse and am obsessed with the details on this white one. It’s basically a trendy upgrade from a regular white button down, right? The blouse is also from Express. One of my go-to shops for basics with a twist!
Then, accessories. Some cute earrings and a pair of shoes that I can walk around in, like these, and I’m good to go! A look like this can get me from a breakfast meeting in the morning to a blogger event at night – I love how transitional it is.
Schedule wise, my days are all over the place. I usually start with a workout of some sort after waking up, and then I’ll check my emails. A lot of my work is done on the computer – editing photos, writing blog posts, emails, etc. – and I try to be on for a least a few hours a day.
After getting ready for the day, I’ll start running around LA. I’ll go visit showrooms and pull outfits from brands, will meet up with friends or other people in the industry, will have meetings with brands about collaborating, work from a coffee shop, etc. It really just depends on the day! If I’m shooting, I’ll meet up with my photographer in the late afternoon when the light is right. Then, it’s usually an event in the evening. I’ll usually spend a few more hours on my computer at night to make sure my blog posts are ready for the week.
What does a day in the life look like for you? And more importantly, what do you wear? I’d love to hear!
