When it’s scorching outside mixed with suffocating humidity the idea of getting dressed can make you want to stay home all day while blasting your AC and taking a shower in a tub filled with ice cubes, especially when you’re trying to look somewhat fashionable.
Here are my 3 tips to mastering a chic hot weather look:
1. Go for flowy- light pieces, which means jeans are not allowed! Instead, look for dresses, pants and skirts in fabrics like cotton or linen.
2. Skip the foundation! Let’s face it…what’s the point if no matter what you put on top is going to melt off. Go for a powder foundation like this one from bareMinerals. I’m a huge fan! I actually will wear this year-round.
3. Imagine you are on vacation – take all of those floral prints out and embrace the temperature. If your work has a strict dress code, go light on the prints and keep it to one floral/printed piece.

Cuando hace una calor y una humedad horrible afuera, el pensar en vestirse es una tarea muy díficil cuando lo único que quieres hacer es quedarte en la casa con el aire acondicionado prendido las 24 horas del día.
Hoy te voy a dar tips para vestirte cuando hace mucha calor:
1. Se que esto es díficil en países como Panamá, que siempre hace calor, pero trata de ponerte piezas más ligeras como vestidos, pantalones y faldas de algodón y lino.
2. No te pongas base líquida. Compra una de polvo como esta de bareMinerals. Esta es mi base favorita y la uso todo el año.
3. Esta es la más difícil…imagina que estas de vacaciones y diviértete un poco usando piezas con prints o floreadas. Si en tu trabajo tienen un código de vestimenta estricto, entonces limitate a usar sólo una pieza que tenga un print.
