Today I’m very excited to show you the first of five collaborations with one of my all time favorite brands…CHANEL. I had the pleasure to meet the CHANEL team back in August and since then I was sure some new and exciting things were coming to The Girl From Panama. When I started this blog, I set some pretty high goals that initially seemed almost unreachable. Working with CHANEL was one of those goals. I’m thrilled to say that I’m partnering with such an iconic brand. Equally as exciting was the ability to have 100% control and creative freedom for these collaborations.
Now let’s talk beauty!
As you can already tell, this post is all about the perfect makeup look for the holidays. In this step-by-step tutorial, I’m featuring some of the items from CHANEL’s 2014 Holiday Collection. Keep reading below to learn how to recreate this look.
Step 1: After moisturizing and prepping my skin with foundation, I decided to apply this beautiful gold eyeliner on my eyelids as a base. This was actually a tip that the CHANEL team shared with me. Following that, I applied the same eyeliner on my waterline.

Step 2: This palette is just a beautiful one to have, not only for the holidays, but also for your everyday look. It has 5 gorgeous tones, that used together or separate are going to highlight your eyes in the most beautiful and elegant way. To achieve this look, I applied the gold shade to my lid and then I used a mix of the 2 gray tones and applied it to my crease. The key here is to blend, blend and blend, until all of the harsh lines disappear. Following that, I dabbed just a little bit of black onto my outer V (outer crease & lid) to contour my eye. With the same brush, I swept what was left of the black onto my lower lash line.
Step 3: I applied my bronzer and mascara. I didn’t think I needed to add blush so I skipped this step.
Step 4: A holiday look is not a holiday look without bright red lips. Here I wore a Rouge Allure Gloss in Pirate #19, which is the label’s most iconic shade of red. This gloss is wonderful because it’s both a lipstick and gloss in one. As soon as you put it on, you can see that the color is very vibrant, intense and pigmented.
Step 5: For my cheekbones, I applied the Camélia de Plumes – Highlighting Powder. This powder illuminates your cheekbones and adds the perfect touch of shine resulting in glowing skin.
Step 6: To finish up this holiday inspired look, I painted my nails bright red using Le Vernis Phénix (687) .
