For as long as I can remember I always wanted to attend a CHANEL Fashion Show. Before I started my blog I would live-stream all of the shows during fashion week, but of course, the most anticipated one for me was always CHANEL.
My first experience was last year at the CHANEL Airlines show, which left me speechless. This time, Karl Lagerfeld surprised me (and all of the attendees) with a front row seat.
It is always important for me to be on-time to any CHANEL event, especially the runway show. Once you’ve been to a couple of fashion weeks, you learn that most of the shows start late, but CHANEL to me is the exception. I want to make sure I’m there early to take it all in. My new J12 watch was the perfect piece to complete my CHANEL look. It was with me along the way to make sure I didn’t miss anything.
When I walked into the beautiful mirrored room at the Grand Palais I was mesmerized. The anticipation and excitement were high.
People complain they can’t see the clothes because they are too far away, this time, everybody is front row, said Karl Lagerfeld.
I was able to see every single tweed jacket, every pearl, every bag, boot, moccasin, every little back dress (not to mention Kendall and Gigi) up close and personal.
One of the things that always stands out to me is Karl Lagerfeld’s ability to make Coco’s style more reflective of today’s fashion trends. For example, he transformed the iconic jacket into a bolero and introduced slouchy off-the-shoulder sweaters. This is indicative of the brand’s entire image and spirit. I can truly say this was one of the best fashion experiences I’ve ever had!
That day was a CHANEL day. At night, we were invited to the Fragrance and Beauty store in Le Marais to get our nails done and discover the new nail polish collection.
Hope you guys enjoyed my recap. Don’t forget to come back on Monday for more! xo, Pam
