Haute Couture done right…the presentation through my eyes.

After seeing so many pictures of the actual show in Paris, I was really looking forward to seeing, touching and admiring all of the looks up close.

I was so amazed by so many different looks, but the pieces that caught my attention the most were the ones made from 3D printing. Karl Lagerfeld wanted to reinvent the most iconic jacket from the 20th century and turn it into a 21st-century version. He succeeded by transforming several suits using the “selective laser sintering” technique. A lot of the pieces were painted to simulate tweed, braided with leather and lined with satin. One word: GENIUS!

We saw many structured pieces and suits with masculine details. According to the CHANEL team, this seemed to be the trend among most of the looks from this collection. We also saw some breathtaking feminine pieces adorned with lace, silk, tulle, organza and beaded embroideries.

My favorite piece? Kendall Jenner’s look. The Bride. A stunning white satin tuxedo that had both a masculine and feminine touch, done absolutely beautifully.

I’ll let the photos speak for themselves…enjoy! xo, Pam.
