Here in LA, we consider it sweater weather when temperatures drop below 70s. And it’s been great because I’ve finally been able to pull out one of my favorite fall pieces of all time – the sweater dress. It’s possibly the easiest clothing item you can throw on if you want to stay warm and look as chic as ever. It’s one of my secrets to looking sophisticated and relevant throughout the season. From chunky cable knits to fitted ribbed dresses, you’ll exude cozy comfort and confidence at anytime. I’ve rounded up my favorite sweater dresses for fall below.

Ribbed Dress
I love the fitted and figure flattering style of ribbed knit dresses. Sometimes the simple style can look too basic but the help of a belt can quickly resolve that. When it comes to ribbed dresses, I prefer midi-lengths because it makes the bodycon fit feel more elevated.
Turtleneck Dress
For an above the knee option, go with a long-sleeve turtleneck dress to keep you warm. I love pairing this look with over the knee boots. This combo never fails to look chic and feminine.
Cowl Neck Dress
Cowl neck dresses make a great everyday, casual option. I love how they look great with sneakers but can also be dressed up with knee high boots. The slouchy neckline looks cozy while also adding a unique detail.
V Neck
It never gets cold enough in LA to warrant layering, but coming from Boston, I know it’s a different story for those of you on the East Coast. V-Neck dresses are great for layering over button-down tops or lightweight turtleneck sweaters. You can also wear it on it’s own and pull it off the shoulder for an effortless touch.
