5 Festival Outfit Ideas That Will Last Beyond Summer

Festival Outfit Ideas - Stuart Weitzman - THE WALLAWALLA BOOTIE / Styling dress with booties - The Girl From Panama

This week has been so crazy guys! So you know that I just got back from San Francisco and immediately started planning for Coachella. I can’t believe that it’s already kicking off on Friday! I’ll be sharing bits and pieces of my outfits for the event as I head in and out of showrooms so join me on instagram. I’m so excited to have you guys help me pick out a few looks. But while that’s in the works, I wanted to share some wearable festival outfit ideas. With Shopbop’s big Event of the Season Sale happening now, you can put some cute outfits together and save big time!! (Spend $500, take 20% off or over $500 for 25% off with code EVENT18.)

I know Coachella takes the lead and kicks off music festival season. If you’re looking for pieces that will take you beyond those summer festivals, shop my favorites (on sale!) below.

1. Cropped Jeans + Slides

I’m always preaching chic, elegant style even when it comes to something like Coachella! And cropped white jeans that sit high on the waist will never go out of style. Even though this look is very casual, the light color scheme makes it appear more elevated than it actually is. The trendy Cult Gaia bamboo bag (available at Shopbop) adds great texture and contrast over the white denim! I love cropped jeans because you can wear them with slides even if you’re shorter like me!

2. Maxi Dress + Booties

You wouldn’t think to wear a black maxi dress in a desert environment let alone a hot summer day. But I picked this one because I was obsessed with the black eyelet and lace details. And sometimes, it’s all in the details. Black can be appropriate for music festivals if it’s constructed of a light fabric that won’t cling to your body. You can accessorize it in several ways like I did with the chain belt and Chloe bag. You can pick any color you’d like to wear because there are so many maxi dresses that look great with booties!

3. White on White

If my second look wasn’t enough proof, eyelet ranks high on my festival-ready outfits list. A cropped eyelet top with color-coordinating pants and a light jacket is like a match made in heaven! It’s so chic but the denim jacket tied around the waist adds a cool factor in conjunction with the interesting bag. Also, don’t ever be without sunglasses! Eye protection is crucial!

4. Embellished Mini + Loose Tee

A mini skirt and t-shirt pairing is as easy as summer gets! This look is casual but still cool because of the studded accents marching down the seams. Sometimes less can be more so I wore a white tee to stay comfortable in the heat. Classic outfits like this warrant more accessories like layered disc necklaces and a floral scarf that could quickly turn into a head band!

5. Monocromatic Desert Vibes

I really wanted to play up the desert vibes here so a monochromatic color scheme made the most sense. I matched the color of my ensemble from my oversized sunglasses down to my shoes. It worked in unison because I mixed in different textures and threw in lighter colors. Tan isn’t a color you typically see women wearing but I suggest you take a risk and try it!
