Hey guys! I’m back with another beauty post. This time I’m talking about one of my favorite makeup looks, glowy skin, which is something a bit challenging to achieve during the colder months because our skin tends to get drier. However, I have a few tricks I want to show you today to get that glow, regardless of the weather, in just 5 minutes.
Let’s get started…
How to get Glowy Winter Skin in 5 minutes
Prepping your skin is always the MOST important step. Today, I moisturized with one of my favorite oils by Rodin to give my skin that extra boost of moisture needed to achieve glowy skin. Following that, I’m applying an illuminating primer by Laura Mercier. This illuminating primer creates a smooth and flawless canvas and prepares the skin for the next step, foundation.
I’m using my favorite foundation, Luminous Silk by Giorgio Armani, in shade 5.5. I mixed it with my Fluid Sheer in No. 2, also by Giorgio Armani, to add radiance to my complexion. Basically, this is what’s going to give your skin that glowy/highlighted look! If you have oily skin you can set your foundation with a translucent powder.
It’s time for bronzer and blush. I’m using this bronzer that has 3 beautiful tones and just the right amount of shimmer. I used this brush and swirled it around a few times to get a good blend of the 3 pigments, which always creates the perfect bronzed look.
For blush, I’m using this Sheer Highlighting Duo by Tom Ford, a new favorite. I love this because it has shimmering rose and gold tones that create a soft and beautiful highlight. I apply a little bit of both tones to the apples of my cheeks.
My favorite step…highlight! I’m using Diorskin Nude Air Luminizer Powder. I applied it by spraying a little bit of this face mist into a flat brush to intensify the color and really make it pop (a good old trick I learned at a photo shoot!). The goal is to apply this where the sun naturally hits your face so you achieve a natural but radiant glow.
Finish up the look by applying your favorite eyeshadow and lipstick. I’m really into red tones lately, so I’m using the color Audacious from Pérsona Cosmetics. This has essentially become my everyday go-to eyeshadow color lately. Then, I lined my eyes with this liquid eyeliner by Lancome and finally mixed two lip colors for this final result. I applied this lipstick by Dior in shade 525 (Poetic Matte) and on top of that, layered by Nars in shade Belle De Jour.
