When I think of holiday makeup the first color that comes to my mind is red! There’s nothing else I love more than wearing a beautiful sultry red lipstick during the holidays. Today, I’m teaming up again with CHANEL to show how I’m planning on wearing this holiday season their newest collection, Le Rouge Collection No 1. This collection is all about red tones as seen by Lucia Pica, Chanel’s Global Marketing Creative Makeup Designer.
STEP 1
I applied my Les Beiges foundation in shade #50 and then I used this compact to set everything. I love this compact because it’s great touch-ups throughout the day.
STEP 2
I applied this eyeshadow in color #132 to my eyelid. This is a gel-cream shadow that goes matte and it can also be used as an eyeshadow base. Then, I used Les 4 Ombres Eyeshadow quad in #268. These colors are velvety, highly pigmented and super easy to blend. I started by mixing the 2 darkest brown tones and I applied that to my eyelid with a blending brush. With another blending brush, I applied the red color to my crease. Don’t forget to blend to get rid off any harsh lines!
STEP 3
Next is the lips, I lined my lips with this lip liner in shade #98. This is the most important step when applying red lipstick. This lip liner will ensure your lipstick stays in place all day. The lipstick I’m wearing today is Rouge Allure in #169. This is definitely my favorite red lipstick from CHANEL. It’s very creamy, velvety and very easy to apply. To set the lips, I applied my favorite Rouge Allure Ink in shade #154.
STEP 4
Brows are so important! CHANEL just launched this amazing brow powder duo that has everything you need to create the perfect brows. It comes with mini tweezers, a mini brush, and an angled applicator brush. I used the darkest shade of this duo to define my eyebrows. When filling in, follow in the direction of your hair growth.
STEP 5
I used this cream eyeliner to create a little bit of a cat eye and then I used this eyeliner on my bottom lash line.
To finish this look I applied my mascara, and I also used this blush to give my face a little bit of definition and color.
There you have it! This is my idea of holiday glam: The right red lipstick, velvety eyeshadows, and this amazing brow duo are all you need to recreate this chic and glam holiday look.
