Ever since I started my blog I’ve always loved sharing my beauty secrets and the products that have worked for me in the past. I’ve always taken care of my hair since I was very little, so I do get extra excited when I get to talk to you guys about my recent product finds.
Last week I stopped by Juan Juan Salon here in LA to receive a complimentary Fusio-Dose treatment and haircare diagnosis by Kérastase. I always make sure to get a professional hair treatment done at a salon at least once a month because I’m constantly using my hot tools (almost daily) which of course causes my hair to get really dry and a bit damaged.
During the treatment, the stylist analyzed my hair and noticed that my hair was frizzy and he decided to give me a custom 5-minute treatment that left my hair very soft and frizz free. This treatment is available at most of all of the salons that carry Kérastase products so make sure to ask your local salon about it! The stylist then prescribed me the Discipline Collection to use at-home.
What’s different about this 4-step line is that the products make your hair very soft but without compromising natural movement. This is really important for me because I do like my natural waves. At the salon, the stylist explained to me that this line contains a new technology called Morpho-Keratine™, which restores inner hair fiber flexibility, tames frizz and protects against humidity. Currently, the weather in LA is a bit humid so these products have been working perfectly fine for me.
Right now, I’m using the Discipline Bain Fluidealiste Shampoo to prevent frizzy hair, the Discipline Fondant Fluidealiste Conditioner that makes my hair super soft. As a heat protectant, I use the Discipline Spray Fluidissime, which not only protects your hair from heat up to 450°F, but also adds shine and protects from frizz. I also use the Discipline Maskeratine once a week and leave it on for 5 to 10 mins for extra softness and protection.
I always curl my hair, so the stylist gave some natural loose waves that lasted all day!
Finally, Kérastase just released their new packaging – the cap design alone will save an estimated 45 tons of plastic per year and at least 25% of the materials used are recycled! Besides that, it looks extra chic on my vanity!
Have you tried Kérastase products before? If so, which line is your favorite one? Would love to hear your recommendations! x Pam
