I hope you all enjoyed my last post on my first two days at NYFW! As I mentioned, there is so much that I am excited to share with you that I decided to create another recap for you highlighting the rest of my incredible trip to New York.
Day 3
On day 3 I attended the Public School NYC show with IWC, the show was absolutely amazing and very empowering. Creative directors Dao-Yi Chow and Maxwell Osborne debuted such an original collection that had cheeky, statement-making prints on t-shirts and hoodies with a slightly political twist hidden throughout. My favorite was a cropped t-shirt that said: “Make America New York”. I went for an edgy-chic look for the show pairing my go-to Stuart Weitzman thigh high boots with a distressed denim skirt, crisp white top and lightweight wool jacket from AYR. After the show, I headed to dinner with Prabal Gurung at Zuma. We had the most delicious cocktails courtesy of Grey Goose, and the dinner was exactly what I needed after my busy day.
Day 4
Day 4 was nothing short of spectacular. My day started off at the Chanel Haute Couture presentation, it was to die for! Stay tuned for an upcoming post where I will share more details and behind the scenes look at the stunning, one of a kind couture pieces. I was lucky enough to have some time to spend shooting a few looks in Central Park before heading off to my second show of the day, Veronica Beard. I absolutely loved this collection too, the designers definitely did an incredible job of channeling timeless looks inspired by the late 1970’s and early 80’s. It was such an exciting, interactive presentation to attend. All of the looks were beautifully effortless and super chic. As for my look, I paired a delicate, feminine, floral print dress and a lightweight trench, both by Veronica Beard, with my Stuart Weitzman boots. When the presentation ended I layered my look with a cape and sunnies by KREWE and was ready to hit the chilly NYC streets.
Day 5
Day 5 was jam packed with shows. My first stop was the Badgley Mischka presentation. It was a beautiful show and the collection was true to the brand – glamorous, full of sparkle and detail. Next, I headed to Alison Brod PR to chat and had the opportunity discover the latest must-have skincare products. Before I knew it, it was time to head to my next show, Alice & Olivia. I loved the Eastern inspiration, intricate details and renaissance-esque vibes that had a major presence throughout the collection. For this presentation, I wore a cozy black fur vest and flowing skirt, both Alice & Olivia, with black booties and a chic little backpack. Afterward, I was off to the Moncler presentation which was my last show of the day. It was yet another incredible, whimsical presentation that had a choreographed performance.
Day 6
I wrapped up NYFW with Michael Kors and I couldn’t imagine a better ending to my week. I absolutely loved the entire collection! The pieces seemed to be inspired by classic American style with lots of furs, jackets and beautiful sexy dresses. Bold, monochromatic looks also took center stage at the show. I wore a two-piece jacket and skirt set from Rag and Bone with booties and a clutch from Designers Remix. Before I knew it, I was on my way to the airport and back to LA.
I had such an incredible time in New York and I hope you can feel my excitement throughout this post. It was an unforgettable trip and I am so grateful for the opportunity to experience it first hand! Next stop – Milan! Stay tuned…
