I just finished up fashion month and spent the last few days in LA, but I’m already on the go again! This year is probably my busiest yet, but I wanted to jump on and share my Paris Fashion Week FW19 recap with you guys. This is probably the longest I spent in Paris so I put a lot of time into styling outfits and trying looks that are a little edgier and out of my zone. Paris was cold so keeping my layers on point was key but I still made sure everything still fell back into the zone of chic. Below, I’ve broken my looks and some of the hairstyles I tried and loved.
Day 1
One of the first looks I wore was this purple suit from Closed Official. It’s such a statement maker and falls right in line spring’s power suit trend. Being such a strong simple look, I paired it with some statement earrings for the Escada Show. I always like to keep my hair slicked back or at least one side pinned whenever I’m wearing bold earrings so that I can really show it off. Kathleen from Mane Addicts was a key player in bringing my hair vision to life. I love how it’s such a strong look.

Day 2
Day 2 was all about prints for Roger Vivier, so I wore a leopard Nanushka dress. I love how it’s trendy but the silhouette is still very classy. I paired it with a croc embossed bag from Wandler and tortoise sunglasses for a tonal effect. There aren’t many things you can do with short hair, but this season’s hair accessories gives you a lot to experiment with. This time I worked with Irinel (also from Mane Addicts) who added two pins to the side to help show off my earrings and freshen up these tousled waves.

My second look of Day 2 was another Nanushka piece. As you can tell, I’m obsessed with the brand’s edgy, cool but simple aesthetic. I swapped out my bag for a Little Liffner gem. The top handle and opening is so unique on this bag and it makes it so easy to dress up or down. I have the croc embossed style, which is currently sold out, so I linked the black leather one below. For my hair, I decided to pull the pins out and set my waves free, which I think felt appropriate for this edgier outfit. This was probably one of my favorite outfits and it was perfect for the Acne and Dior presentations.

A highlight of PFW was being invited to the La Nuit party with Sofitel Hotels (more here). This is a dress you wouldn’t typically catch me in, but I thought it would be interesting for such an exclusive event. The volume of the sleeves were so fun! The dress is currently on sale and very affordable here – sizes are selling quick!

Day 3
For the Tommy Hilfiger show, I wore a red tonal outfit and a navy military jacket for that Americana vibe that’s always so iconic in his designs. If you haven’t noticed, monochromatic outfits are a classic fashion week look since it’s so catchy. When done right, it also looks sophisticated and clean. All you need is a statement coat to finish it off.

Day 4
Day 4 was definitely experimental for me. First was this Frankie Shop jacket in green, which I’ve been wearing a lot of this year. The pleather material, pockets, and belt make it a perfect street style staple. To fit into the sleek outfit, Irinel blew out my hair and flat ironed it, then added two pins to hold one side into place and to change up the straight hairdo. You can probably guess that hair pins are my It-accessory of spring 2019.

Day 5
Fashion week or not, I’m all about traveling with staples that I can re-wear and work into different looks, such as a black turtleneck and leather pants. Sometimes all you really need is a different coat or textured bag to shake things up. I kept it super Parisian and basics towards the end of my trip, going with a fluffy faux fur coat and all black outfit.

Another staple piece I never travel without is a blazer. Whenever my outfit feels boring or like it’s missing something, a simple blazer usually polishes it up. Oversized sunnies are essential for hiding exhausted eyes during fashion week.

One of the best things about having short hair is that you can tuck one side behind your ear and it just stays put. To show off these fabulous Oscar de la Renta earrings, Irinel created undone waves in my hair while keeping the ends super straight. I love how it complements the neckline of my dress while letting the earrings stand out.
