I was so excited to make it to New York for fashion week that I actually flew out early this season! While in the city, I attended a few events in advance of the shows, one of them being The Jewel Box held on the 7th floor at Bergdorf Goodman. This CHANEL fine jewelry viewing, which only lasted a few days, provided Bergdorfs‘ clientele with an exclusive experience in a beautiful space, meant to mimic a chic apartment that you would find somewhere in beautiful Paris. Inside the event, I tried on some of the most gorgeous pieces from sparkly rings to timeless bracelets. Can you think of any better way to start off your time in New York?
That day, I decided to wear a comfortable, yet chic, long-sleeve maxi dress from Shoshanna, which ended up being the ideal selection for the hot NYC weather, but is also one of the pieces that you can easily transition into Fall with a faux-leather jacket and booties as the weather gets colder. This time, I paired it with several accessories that featured delicate hardware details for a touch of edge without overpowering the pattern of the dress. The waist cinching belt gave this otherwise flowy look, an east-coast vibe, and my heels had a fun twist on a pair of classic black pumps. Let me know your thoughts in the comments section below.
