Tan trench coats have been around forever and for good reason. They go with just about everything, are lightweight and easy to throw on, and are definitely a staple in my closet.

Since the style of a trench is so classic, I like to keep with that vibe while adding some feminine and modern touches to it. I shot this look in Milan, but I tend to think of Parisian style when styling one, and that’s where I drew my inspiration from. A trench, neutral colors, lace, slip-ons, sunglasses, and of course an amazing bag. Chic but effortless!
I’m currently loving this trench from the brand Tatras. They’re an Italian/Japanese brand and the company and design are just amazing. I had the chance to go to their presentation in Milan and I’m really into the minimal yet fashionable aesthetic of their whole brand in general. The jackets that are coming next season are beautiful!
The collar on my trench is chic, and the length provides a modern touch. Plus, it’s the perfect piece for layering while out and about.
To not make my look too polished, I threw on some denim since that always adds an effortless feel. This cropped and pleated pair is very on-trend (look for lots of fun denim this year), and really comfortable. I’ve been obsessed with these Chanel mules since grabbing them a few weeks ago, and they compliment the chicness of the jacket perfectly. A little lace adds a playful, girly texture, and I also love the combo of lace and utilitarian style, like the trench. This is the perfect outfit for brunch with friends, and I plan on wearing this trench all year long.
