Last week I had an amazing experience visiting one of the places I’ve been wanting to go to for a long time, Lake Tahoe. I stayed at the beautiful Ritz-Carlton Resort located in Truckee, CA. As soon as we got there I was taken back…Between the incredible views, decor, spa and pool, and outstanding food at the Café Blue, Manzanita, and the Highlands Bar, the resort met every expectation I had.

As soon as we got there we were greeted by the staff and taken to our cozy rooms. Julia, Champagne and I walked around the property, had some light snacks at the Highlands Bar then went back to the room to wait for our spa appointment. At the spa, we had probably the most amazing hour-long massage. The Spa has everything you need to unwind and relax after hitting the slopes.
The next day we woke up early and took a beautiful gondola ride to The Village at Northstar. Due to the weather, some of the places were closed, but that did not stop us from exploring! When we got back to the resort, we decided it was time to take advantage of the pool. The Ritz-Carlton has 2 amazing heated pools overlooking the slopes that were the perfect temperature to enjoy the winter oasis.
At night, the staff offered us a special dinner at Manzanita. The food was delicious! I definitely recommend going there for dinner if you are in town. I had the Mussels, Caesar Salad, and Scallops! Aside from the location, the service, the bed, the ambiance, the spa everything is worth paying a visit to at The Ritz-Carlton Lake Tahoe.
