I’m sure you all have a morning routine that you follow before getting out the door. And you’ve also probably had days where you overslept or stayed out past your curfew, causing you to get up in a frantic. I’ve done it all and know how stressful it feels to pick between leaving the house on time or getting your makeup done. Over the years, I’ve learned a few tricks that have helped me cut back on my morning routine. So instead of running out the door stressed and scatterbrained, tryout some of my simple makeup tips to get through your mornings faster.

1. Skip the non-essentials
What exactly is a non-essential? Anything that isn’t absolutely necessary to make you look fresh and wide awake. For me, that’s foundation and liquid eyeliner. There’s no need to spend extra time priming, protecting, and highlighting when you can get it done with few products. If I want a natural glow, I use the Chanel Les Beiges Tinted Moisturizer mixed a drop of Tom Ford’s Glow Drops. I recently shared this little trick on my stories – it always makes my skin look so radiant. There’s no denying I love the winged liner look but it’s time consuming. I usually just tightline my eyes with this pencil – or skip liner altogether.
2. Multi-task your products
I swear by so many products but one that I can’t go without is bronzer! I love using bronzer to give me a soft, tan glow but also using it as eyeshadow to create definition. It’s the quickest way to liven up your face. Flushed cheeks aren’t a must for me, but there are days when I want a little color so I’ll use a lip and cheek tint. It’s so much faster than swiping on blush and then applying lipstick. Plus, I can do it on the go.
3. Make a grab & go makeup bag
If you can’t seem to pull yourself together, keep a stash of your daily staples ready to go. I always carry a little pouch with eyeliner, lipstick and lip balm, and face mist (this one is small enough to fit into a bag). It’s such a life saver that helps me freshen up throughout the day.
