A Simple & Chic Look for Busy Days

I shared this outfit on Instagram back when I wore it and then realized I never shared it on the blog. And it was actually one of my most popular posts of the month, so I was super happy to see that you guys liked it! It’s actually a combination you’ll find me in most weekdays lately. I love that I can take it from a day of meetings to an event or dinner and then even to drinks if I have plans with the girls. It’s one of those combos that gets me through my busiest day and is versatile. There are just a few steps to it, which I’ll break down below!

Shop My Look

Top: Classic shirt

My closet is full of classic, neutral t-shirts and bodysuits that can be paired with a ton of options on bottom. I like to look for quality over quantity even with these basics as I want them to be able to live up for lots of wear. I personally like a texture that’s soft, on the thinner side, and slightly cligny for a more flattering smooth look. Plus, they’re easier to tuck in that way (and bodysuits make this even easier). Here are a few favorites with great reviews:

Bottom: Paper bag pants

Have you noticed this trend this year? They are kind of a mix between joggers, cargo pants and trousers but in a modern way. The tie waisteband flatters all different types of bodies and I love the cropped hem (good for tall or short women). They can definitely be dressed up for work or dressed down for the weekend depending on the material and how you style them, too. And best of all, brands like H&M have lots of affordable options that are still good quality.

Bag: Structred handbag

I have a thing for structured handbags and am really into all the ring and handle details we’ve seen this year. Also loving the croc-embossed finish like on this bag or this faux snakeskin mini that’s an amazing deal.

Shoes: Chic heels

I’m a heels girl so you’ll usually find me in them, especially if I have meetings. I’ve been wearing these acrylic sandals on repeat but understand they aren’t for everyone or maybe aren’t professional enough for your career. If that’s the case, you can still get this look with a slingback or even these for a closed-toe option. Just make sure they’re comfortable if you’re trying to go all day in them! I’ll link to other picks right here:
