I’ve talked a lot about my slight obsession with over-the-knee-boots here on the blog. Today I’m giving a little bit of extra love to my go-to black over-the-knee-boots from Delman. If I could only live with 2 pairs of boots I would definitely pick my low-heeled black booties (seen here) and this pair I’m wearing today. So what makes an over-the-knee-boot a great pair? I can point out 3 things:
The fit: I’ve purchased several over-the-knee boots that end up rolling down my ankles because the fabric is loose. Instead, look for a pair in an elastic fabric. The ones I’m wearing stick to my legs and stay there all day and all night long.
The heel: A high-heeled boot definitely elevates the look to another level, literally and figuratively! There’s nothing sexier than wearing a boot like this.
The Fabric: I’m not totally obsessed with leather boots, I have a few pairs, but when I have the option I always buy suede. All of my favorite pairs of over-the-knee boots that I own are made from suede. They look so elegant , classy, and well made. With leather, there’s a thin line between one that looks cheap and nice.
What’s your favorite go-to over-the-knee-boot?
