Hey guys, I’m finally back in LA and super tired as I prepare for Paris Fashion Week. But, I wanted to hop on here and do a quick New York Fashion Week Spring 2019 recap. You should already know that this was a short fashion week season in NYC for me. I wasn’t bombarded with shows or anything because I decided to attend the Toronto Film Festival first, and I’m glad I did. Getting a sneak preview of “A Star is Born” and seeing Bradley Cooper in real life was so worth it – you can catch the action in my highlights still! There are a couple of brands I’m in love with so I’m glad I made it in time for them. If you want to catch what I wore and which shows I saw, keep reading!
Day 1
My very first show of fashion week was the classic and always beautiful Zimmerman. I paid homage to one of the brands I love for chic feminine pieces by wearing a floral, Victorian-inspired top and cropped flares. I picked these pieces because they felt elevated but trendy enough for FW, especially the fun jeans. I kept my shoe choice very conservative and classy because I didn’t want to take away from the top and pant pairing. It ended up being so on brand with the Zimmerman aesthetic because the show was full of body hugging, sexy dresses with strong shoulders. The high necklines and detailed sleeves were unforgettable. Overall, I loved the collection as usual.

Day 2
My time at NYFW consisted of one show each day. The second day for me was Naeem Khan, a designer I appreciate for elegant gowns and beautiful details. His wedding collections are always sensational – and I got a really different, unexpected vibe from his Spring 2019 RTW collection. The draping, tucking, and dramatic cuts brought a mix of elegant, party, and youthful pieces. Only he could pull something like this off and it was so lovely to watch.

Day 3
I concluded my NYFW adventures with a look at the Chanel Couture Presentation then Michael Kors show. I always make an effort to see every Chanel Couture Presentation I can because the pieces are out of this world. The designs and details are so intriguing and impeccable. My appreciation for the time and effort spent on each piece runs so deep and I wish you guys could experience it for yourselves.
The Michael Kors show was very exciting. He has a unique way of making his collections simple, clean, and sporty but in a luxurious and elegant way. You can never predict it! This collection took me back to happy, summer days with the bold, contrasting colors and exquisite fabrics.
